About Me

Hello, I’m Helen

Hello, I’m Helen,

Busy mum of 2 older teens, 1 dog and 2 cats, living in Bridgend, South Wales. I am your award-winning, professional, qualified and insured Complementary Therapist with 20+ years of experience who is proud to be:

  • A full member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and Local Support Group Coordinator,
  • A Best Practice Award winner for The Story Massage Programme,
  • A FRT Reflexologist, Rainbow Relaxation Programme Instructor and Approved Trainer for Schools
  • To have been awarded Runner-up (Health and Wellbeing) at The Best of South Wales Business Awards 2025.

I am based at treatment rooms within Ty Morfa Centre, Aberkenfig, which is wheelchair accessible with its own car park. I can offer ‘at home’ appointments to those who are unable to travel.

I became interested in complementary therapy after being diagnosed with M.E. (Chronic fatigue syndrome) in 1998 and having regular reflexology treatment which helped me significantly. I qualified in 2005 and am constantly learning, attending courses and collaborating with other amazing therapists to inform my practice. I work intuitively, drawing on all my training, to hold space and provide a truly bespoke treatment for each client.

Whilst the children were small I concentrated on providing infant massage, sensory play and yoga classes for babies and toddlers. I then started working as a midday supervisor at their primary school, gained experience as a teaching assistant and moved on to work in a local special school. Here I was trained as a Massage in Schools and IMPACT Wellbeing instructor and ran massage and wellbeing sessions within the senior school. I also ran yoga, story massage and reflexology sessions and provided individual treatments to students as part of my role. Working with so many amazing children and seeing the positive effect treatment can provide is why I now specialise in therapies for additional needs.
